Angel's Song

Today maybe the most busy day in my 16 years of life, the work at the store come to me like tidal wave, and non stop.

Today i went to the store at 7 am because Jonny have mad a large order of celebration stufs like chirstmas hat, fluorescence sticks, and bla... We have to prepare and put all the things on the shelf for sale before store open. So Jonny ask me to help him out earlier. As i display and label the pricing, i ask Jonny.

Hui " Jonny, how much is the cost for 1 chirstmas hat? "

Jonny " Oh, that one, it's S$ xx . " Jonny answer me while busy labeling.

Mm, cost is S$ xx, sales price is S$xx. That means the profit is.... Wow !!! Almost 200 % . I did shock with the profit Jonny can made selling all these stuff.

Hui " Wow Jonny, you sure made a lots of profit out of this. "

Jonny " Oh well, this is season sales, i can made the sales once only in a year. Well can made extra profit lol. " Jonny made a funny face at me.

Hm, hm. That's why everyone said you will never strike rich working for others, only business will. My father is a successful and rich businessman, but i don't know what business he is doing... what a shame to be a son who know so little of his father... Is it the main reason why i can't accept Aunt Susan as my step mom, because i know so little of my father... My deep thought flush away quickly by the tons of work at the store.

The magazine store is flood with customers who mainly come for the chirstmas celebration stuffs. There is not much time for me and Jonny to take a break, we only have burger for lunch and we have it at the store while busy serving the customers. Day past quickly when you are busy, it's 5.30 pm already when i have chance to take a break sit down. Oh, Xiao Fen performe at 6.00 p.m, if i go there now i'll still be on time. But... i ca't leave Jonny now... I look at my watch and keep on my work at the store. Suddenly Jonny call for me.

Jonny " Hui, go for your break. I give you 1 hour, but come back on time, ok? "

Jonny give me an hour break, what a surprise. But customers still flooding the store, i felt guilty leaving him now so i said.

Hui " Nevermind Jonny, i'm still not tire. "

Jonny " Oh you, just go on for your break... Ok... i know you have somethings on, you keep looking at your watch since 20 minutes ago. Go ! I still manage at this hour. "

Hui " Thank you Jonny, i'll be back on time, i promise. " Loos like Jonny know i'm on to something, without futher decline, i walk out the store and headed to Suntec as fast as i could.

When i reach at Xiao Fen's chorus team performance stage, Wow ! It's flooded with lots of people. I manage to get myself a good viewing spot among the crowds using my ' skinny kung fu', haha. After a while the chorus team walk on the stage, line up and ready for their performance, and i saw Xiao Fen. Oh... she is so different today, still so beautiful but different from her usual beauty. She wear white long sleeve shirt and black skirt which fit perfectly on her. When all the chorus team ready on their spot, a conductor walk on the stage and bow to the audience. I saw Xiao Fen stand out from the line, oh ! she is is lead singer, she never told me that. The crowds silence down and waiting for the performance...

" Silence night... Holy light......... " A sweet, clear and angel sound dash through everyone's ears, the whole floor silence and enjoy the song at that moment.

Xiao Fen's song touch my heart at that moment and i can feel my fine hair stand at that touching moment... After the song end, the crowds gave the chorus team huge applause, including me... i clap my hand as loud as i could for Xiao Fen. Now i see another attrative side of Xiao Fen, that strengthen my hearts towards her. But sadly i can't stay there much longer because i promise Jonny. After the first song i went back to the store in hurry although i prefer to stay for the performance, but a promise is a promise, i have to keep my promise.

After work at the store, i reached home at about 1 am already. How memorable watching Xiao Fen's performance today, she always surprise me. Maybe i should SMS to congratulate her for her successful performance... Aw... been a busy day today, tommorow maybe... Good night Xiao Fen... sweet dream...

Thief !!!

It has been three days since i work at the magazine store. I started work at 12 and off at 9 pm. This is a new experience for me cause i never work and earn money by myself before. Everyday i help Jonny(The magazine store owner) to look after his store, tidy up the magazine, books and newspaper, help at the counter as a cashier, bla.... Before working at here, i always thought it's easy to tend a store, but after working here, i found out that it's not an easy job to be done. You have to remember where you put books, magazine in case customer ask for assistant, look out for thieves because there are no alarm system, have to remember all the product price and bla... Although it's exhausting, but i am happier than the time when i just waste my time doing nothing.

Jonny have been nice to me, he teach me to manage the magazine store patiently and very forgivable when i did some mistake. After having some talk with him, i found out he is only 26 years old, it's quite amazing for him to open his own store at his age. Jonny told me he tire of working for others, therefor he decided to open his own magazine store, reading always is his favourite. So right now he can enjoy his liking and make a living out of it. But today something happen at the store which teach me a lesson when doing a business.

As usual, i reach at the store at 12. Jonny told me he had to attend some important appointment, so he ask me to tend the store all by myself. It has been going quite smooth until a group of teenagers, around 6 to 7 person came into the store. At first they gather at the magazine area looking for magazine, after a short while, two girls approached me with a bundle of books with them.

Girl A "Hi handsome, can you help me with this? I want to do some research on the magazine that on sale in Singapore, but i don't know what's the content of these magazine, can you give me a hand introduce all these magazine for me? Pleeeeeeeeease...... "

Well, i must admit that the girls approached me is quite pretty and i'm kind of attracted by them, so i try my best to explain all the magazine as i can to please the pretty young lady. When i'm explaining the magazine to the girls, i notice the rest of the youngster spread around in the store looking for something. But i'm so busy and keen helping the girls, i let my guard down on them. After a while, all the teenagers left the store one by one, another girl spoke.

Girl B " Oh, we almost late for our movie. Come on, lets go. " She spoke to the Girl A.

Girl A " Oh yes, i almost forgot. Thank you handsome, i'll be back for the magazine after the movie. Thanks for your help. " Girl A smile at me.

Hui " It's really nothing, come back here if you need any help ok. I will reserved these magazine for you, you can pick it up after your movie, ok. "

Girl A and B " Ok, Bye......... " They went off in hurry.

The girls never return after hours past and i didn't take it to heart. Jonny came back at 5 pm and buy me a fillet burger for leaving alone to tend the store. Day passed by and we do the stock counting as usual after 9 pm. When i count on the magazine, i found out some magazine quantity not match with the stock quantity, 5 magazine was missing. Same thing happen at Jonny's count on the books and stationery, at least a dozen of pen and few books missing too. Jonny ask me of what happen in store when he is not arounf and i recall the girls. Why sure that's what happened, that 2 girls distract me asking all the question, and their friend take this opportunity to steal from the store. Aw !!! how stupid i'm, i should have notice it earlier when they asking me all that stupid questions. With shame i told Jonny everything that happened.

Hui " I'm really sorry Jonny, I should be more careful. Jonny... i should be responsible, why not you deduct my pay to make it up for all the losses you suffered. " I felt guilty and want to atone it.

Jonny " Aiya, don't blame yourself to much. It happened all the time when your are running a store. I remember when i start the store, i did the mistake worst that you. Take this as a lesson lol, and don't take it to heart of the losses, it's in the expected losses in my account. HA !!! Cheer up, young man. "

Jonny didn't blame me for my mistake and even cheer me up and encourage me. He treat me so well like a big brother protecting his young brother. I felt so touch, so i promise myself i'm gonna give my whole effort to run Jonny's store effectively and carefully.

Xiao Fen SMS me tonight, she told me that she will performe with her chorus team in Suntec City at Chirstmas Eve, she invite me to watch their performance that night. Oh... Chirstmas Eve, Jonny told me that will be the most buzy day in the whole year. I am in debt with Jonny for what happened today, sure i can't deserted Jonny on this day. Though i want to watch Xiao Fen performance but.... Aw... maybe i just ignore Xiao Fen SMS...

The Magazine Store

It has been 2 weeks since school holiday started, what i did just throw my time away doing
nothing. But today i've met someone that will end my meaningless holiday.
Today as usual after breakfast, i spend my time playing online games and try to find someone
to chat with. Unfortunate nobody online, including Xiao Fen. Everyday repeating the same
routine, doing nothing... So i decided kill my time at Orchard Road... alone.

Sitting at Mc'D at Orchard and watching every one walk by.Office lady who walk in fast pace,
maybe busy for another meeting, some teenagers walking and laughing along the way, maybe
going to catch a movie, 2 policeman walk by, and assist some tourist to find their way, and
a street performer, dress in black suit, paint his face all white, stand like a statue, if
someone drop some money in his box, he will make some robotic move to cheer them up...Awww... seems like everyone have their jobs, and things to do, unlike me. I felt i just like a
useless rubbish waiting time pass by...

After finished my drinks, i decided to buy some magazine, so I walk to the magazine store
not far away. While looking for the magazine in the store, i found something which attracts
me " VACANCY - Looking for part-time workers, working hour flexible, S$XX an hour.". Oh, the store is looking for part-time worker. " Mm, since i'm just wasting my time doing noting,
why not do some part-time job." I talk to myself. I walk to the counter and talk to a tall,
spectacle, thin and serious looking man. " Er... excuse me." "Yes, what can i help you?" the
serious looking man answer me with a smile on him. Well, he is not as serious as i thought.
So i brace myself and ask him " Is there vacancy for part-timer here, i'm interested to take
up the job." The serious man look at me and smile " Oh, you want to take up the vacancy. Let
me introduce myself first, i'm Jonny, 'tauke' of this store." Jonny introduce himself. " Oh,
i'm Zhun Hui, nice to meet you." I introduce myself to jonny and jonny have a firm handshake
with me.

" So you are interested to work in my magazine store. I have 3 question for you before
decide to hire you. First,are you ok with the pay i offer? Second, can you work for long
hour? And finally, how old are you? " Jonny ask. " Yes, yes. I'm ok with the pay, and it's
school holiday right now, so i can spend all the time i have at here, and i'm 16." I answer
Jonny as calm as i can, but my heart is pounding so fast i almost felt it would jump out my
mouth. " Hmm... pay... ok, time... ok, age... ok. Allright!!! Welcome to Jonny's store, you
are hired. "I stared at Jonny for a few seconds, surprised by his sudden reaction. " Zhun
Hui... are you ok? " Jonny waive his hand in front of me. " oh, i'm ok, ok. Thank you Jonny.
Thank you. " I answer Jonny. " Ok, start work tomorrow. Come here at 12 afternoon. See you."
Jonny smile at me. " Ok, see you. Bye. " I walk out the store happily.

Ha, finally i found something to do instead of wasting my whole school holiday meaningless.
Feel like sharing with Xiao Fen the news... but on second thought, maybe i should surprise
her when i receive my first pay cheque. Hehe....

Xiao Fen's Fried Noodle

When my relationship with father can back to normal... Quarrel with father again today, though we haven't meet for almost 1 months. Ever since Aunt Susan came into our life, my relationship with father is getting worse.

Father and Aunt Susan having breakfast with me this morning. While i having my favorite Chicken porridge, father suddenly said " Zhun Hui, Aunt Susan and i had arrange the marriage 3 months later... I know you always object for my marriage, but i really hope you can accept it." A heartbreak news for me, father had made up his mind. Surprising i didn't shout and cry, just finish my breakfast in silence. I can feel father and Aunt Susan waiting for my response, but i didn't show anything. After having my breakfast, i said " I'm done, had an appointment with my friend, bye." I left the table and walk out the door.

I Walk on the street without any destination, seems like the whole world didn't have anything to do with me. I know i can't stop father to marry Aunt Susan anymore, nothing i can say or i can do to change his decision. While walking in the mall, i stop in front of a chocolate house, i remember mother likes chocolate very much, just like me... and Xiao FEn. Xiao Fen smile flash through, maybe i can ask Xiao Fen out. I wrote to her " Are you free today? I'm in bad mood today, can you keep me company?" I sat on a bench in the mall waiting for Xiao Fen reply. She reply me soon after " Ok, where you like to go? " I have no idea where to hang out, but i feel like having some delicious food. Delicious food can cheer people up, that's always write by novelist. " I want to have something delicious, you grown up in Singapore, any good recommendation? " After a few minutes Xiao Fen reply " I know what we can have, see you at school canteen in an hour. " Mmmm... ?? this trouble me, there is nothing special and delicious at school canteen, what is she thinking.

I reach at school canteen 45 minutes later, early as usual... No much student at school, because it's school holiday. The uncle selling drinks taking his afternoon nap beside the fridge. I pick the corner and sit there waiting for Xiao Fen. " TADA !!! Special delivery arrived !!! " while i was stare blank, someone come to me. When i look up, i saw Xiao Fen smiling face, at that moment, she is like an angel. I smile back at her and said " What is that ?" I pointed at Xiao Fen lunch box. " Ahem... these are my preeeeecious, please forgive if it's not good enough." Xiao Fen talk like Golum in LOTR, haha, it's very funny. I anwer her " Wah ! Will i have diarrhea after having the preeeecious? " Xiao Fen grab back her lunch box unhappily and said " Don't made fun of my effort, if you don't want it, forget it then. " Ohoh, Xiao Fen piss up i made fun of her cooking, i explain " Sorry, just a joke only mah... wow, the food smell really nice, can i have it now, i'm really staving."

When open the lunch, i really surprised. Fried noddle with canned pork meat, fried egg and few slices of cucumber. All of them place nicely in the box, i can sense her effort in preparing this lunch. Without hesitate, i try the fried noddle first and wow, it really taste nice. I finished the lunch box in no time, and felt still not enough. " Xiao fen, you are a really good cooker. Thanks for your delicious and wonderful lunch. " Xiao fen smile aand tease me " oh.. is it? maybe you will visit the washroom in no time." " Hah.. you are responsible take me to doctor then... haha " I anwer Xiao Fen. " Huh... that's your father responsibility mah." Oh... Xiao Fen remind me of my father, i forgot about him while with Xiao Fen, she is my cure of bad mood... I silence and recall the morning conversation.

" Err... did i said something wrong? " Xiao Fen ask me carefully. " Oh it's ok, i'm alright." I comfort her. But silence between us after that. Oh... what have i done, i screw up the wonderful and cheery moment with her because of my bad mood. But since her visit to my house, and she found out my rich family, there are something trouble me... Xiao Fen being nice to me because i'm rich??? Well, i knew that was stupid but i just can't stop thinking about it, because i know someone nice to my family because of our wealth... AUNT SUSAN !!!! I know Xiao Fen is not that type of person, so i ask her " Xiao Fen, are we good friend?" She stare at me and nodded. " You... you become my friend not because of i'm rich, right? "I asked. She enlarge her eyes and nodded harder. " Ok, i believe you... " i mumble...

After having lunch and chat for almost 2 hours at school canteen, i went back home. Ah Lian(my housemaid,remember?) told me that my father went to dinner with Aunt Susan. I lock myself in my room writing diary and skipped my dinner. Seems that i had to add another dishes as my favourite.... Xiao Fen " Fried Noodle " ..

Xiao Fen first visit

I must fight for my love and for my happiness. Although Xiao Fen have someone in her heart, but i still want to try my best.

Today i arranged lots of things for Xiao Fen first visit to my house. It was not easy for me to persuade her, luckily my Wei Wei help out. Finally she agreed thanks to Wei Wei help. All person, equipment had been in position and i dress up to pick up Xiao Fen at MRT station.

Ah Phoon( my father's driver, still remember? ) drove me to the station, we were early as usual and waited outside the station. When i saw Xiao Fen walk out from the station, i wave at her and Ah Phoon press the horn to help me call for her. Xiao Fen saw me and walk to me, but she looks surprise to see me with Ah Phoon. Xiao Fen kept silence and seems uncomfortable on the way home, i felt curious and ask her " Xiao Fen, are you ok? " She shake her head and look up at Ah Phoon. Minutes after she took out her hand phone and begin to write " You didn't tell me your house is so far away and need driver to drive us there. I'm so sorry, but can i go to your house in these casual wears? " Haha, she is so cute and funny, i took out my hand phone and reply her " You come for casual visit, not Chinese New Year visit, why have to wear new clothes? "

Xiao Fen write again" Tell me frankly, are you from a rich family? " The question stunned me, i never expect Xiao Fen to ask me that... I never think of it before, am i rich? So i decided and wrote " I don't know am i rich or not, but it's not related with our friendship. right? " Xiao Fen seems not happy with my answer, she stop writing and keep silence along the way.

But her silence broke when she step down the car and saw Wei Wei. Wei Wei ran to us seeing me come back. At first she want to jump herself on me but stop when she saw Xiao Fen, Wei Wei walk to Xiao Fen shaking her tail, i think Wei Wei like Xiao Fen very much... Just like me. " Xiao Fen, let me introduce. She is Wei Wei, a 4 years old Golden Retriever. Father brought her to me when i was 12. Just like you, Wei Wei is my best friend too. " I introduce Wei Wei to Xiao Fen, and Xiao Fen seems like Wei Wei too.

When i bring Xiao Fen into my house, i can see her showing a very surprise expression. She keep looking around and say " Wow...." . I have to start my arrangement because Xiao Fen told me she can stay for 3 hours only. " Xiao Fen, i'll bring you to my room, come on. " I brought Xiao Fen to my room at third floor. I had tidy up my room before Xiao Fen come, it takes me 2 hours to clean up all the mess, aw... next time better clean up my room frequently. Xiao Fen enter my room, sat on the sofa and said " Aren't your house toooooooo big..." Listen to her and her tone on the words, i knew she is not happy, maybe i haven't told her about my house before. I ask her " You blame me for not telling you my family wealth, right? Sorry, i didn't mean it... it's just... i don't know how to tell you. It'll be too stupid to walk to you and said ' Wei, I'm very rich! ' right?"

"hahahahaha..." Xiao Fen laugh out loud seeing me funny acting. And i laugh together with her too, i didn't have a good laugh after mother pass away... I took out all my photograph, comics and postcard from the country i've been travel to. We have wonderful afternoon together chatting, play games and watch a movie at the forth floor theater room. I know Xiao Fen fancy of cute cartoon characters, therefor i prepare the cartoon " CARS" to suite her liking, and she like it.

Time fly away fast, before she went home i invite her for another visit, then we can swim at my house swimming pool. She promise me and told me she had a wonderful afternoon today. I am so happy she had a happy moment, as long as she is happy, i am happy too. I am looking forward for her next visit, the sooner the better... hehe...

Chocolate's Date

Last Saturday when i woke up, i saw a box of chocolate lying beside my pillow and a note attach on it.

" Zhun Hui, i bought your favorite sweeties from Swiss. Father will off to Sydney for another week. You take care of yourself. "

Since the quarrel with father 2 weeks ago, we haven't talk with each other. I can fell the love of father, but i still can't accept another women to become my step mum. Ai... better forget about this right now, it will drive me crazy just thinking about it.

I wonder how's Xiao Fen been doing, she's not online and didn't reply my sms for days already. Maybe she think i am so nuisance and keep bothering her, or something happen to her, this really worry me.

" Ti Ti... Ti Ti... " My hand phone rang for incoming SMS. I pick up the phone and open the inbox. " Sorry, something happen recently and i am in really bad mood. But reading your SMS has made me a lot better, thanks for your caring.. I fell like having some nice chocolate right now, can i? " It's from Xiao Fen, what a surprise. I reply her immediately " Ok! we meet at Eastcoast garden in an hour. " After reply her sms, i hurry dress myself and rush out the door. It takes me almost half an hour from my place to Eastcoast Garden, better reach there early than late, of couse i didn't forget the most important thing. The Swiss chocolate.

After 40 minutes i reached at Eastcoast Garden and i waited outside Mc'D. I keep looking around searching for Xiao Fen. After 10 minutes, i saw her walk from the bus stand not far away. She is wearing a simple outfit, a white t-shirt with cute piggies pic and a nicely fit jeans, wow, she is just beautiful no matter what she wear. I wave and walk to her smiling, show her the chocolate box and ask her " Where should we enjoy this nice chocolate? "

Xiao Fen finally smile, and so sweet her smiles are " Let's take some walk first " I nodded and walk with her along the road. That's was a silence walk and i can sense that something troubled her, i didn't ask cause i knew how's that fell. Every time when i'm not happy, i just need someone to be with me, that's make me fell i'm not lonely and have someone caring for me.

After 10 minutes, we decided to take a rest at pavilion along the road. Xiao Fen still didn't spoke a word. I deiced to break the topic " Xiao Fen, these chocolate wouldn't taste nice if it melt. Do you want to have some right now? " Xiao Fen smile at me and nodded, i quickly unwrap the chocolate. Looking at her smile and her eyes blink after have her first bite of the chocolate, she like it, i am sure.

" Your father been to Swiss ? " Xiao Fen ask me when she saw the packaging of chocolate. " Ya, i have been there last school holiday. Swiss is so beautiful, you should go there if you have any chance. " I answer Xiao Fen and recall the beauty of Swiss, especially the snow view, it will be so romantic viewing the snows together with Xiao Fen. Seeing Xiao Fen stare blankly, i knew she thinking about something. " Anything troubled you ? I willing to share it with you. "

Xiao Fen stare at for a moment, sighing and begin her story. It's about Da Nai Ping ( Xiao Fen best friend ) and one of their friend Tian Cai Qing. She said two of them seeing each other recently, she doesn't know what to do be with two of them because they always went out together. Though she didn't clearly said out the things that trouble her, but i know what she mean and what she think. She likes that fellow Tian Cai Cing but her best friend had seeing the one she like.

It's a real pain in my heart hearing what she said, she had someone in her heart already, did i still have chance? I kept asking myself while listen to her story. But before she finished her story, i have made up a decision, pretend i didn't know how she fell towards that Tian Cai Qing and be her listener and advisor. Soon after she finished her story, i ask her " Are you worrying they will ignore you eventually, and you not fell comfortable going out with them together, right? " Xiao Fen didn't answer me, I added " Sometime.. we cannot control or change things that happens, why you still persist... let it be, let it go, life will be much happier. " Memories of mother flash through my mind.

Xiao Fen stood at me and said " Your thinking are much more mature to be a 14 years old boy. "
I smile back at her " Ya you are right, i'm 16 and 2 years older than you. " I explain why i'm in the same grade with her though i'm 16, and i told her some of my story of my family and... my mother...

We spent 3 hours chatting at Eastcoast Garden, though i get to know her better, but knowing she has someone in her heart makes me fell low... Will she fell the same towards me just like she fell for Tian Cai Qing? I hope she will... one day...

Sorry all friend who visit my blog. This morning my granmother pass away... i will stop my blog for 3 days.. thanks for all your support and comment, i really felt motivated... thank you...

Father... Marry ??!!

Father have changed, he has totally forget mother. If not, how can he made such decision ...

This morning at the dining room, me and my father are having breakfast as usual before going to school. Ah Lian had cook my favourite, chicken porridge. Actually this also the usual breakfast my mother cook for me before the incident. Just after i finished my breakfast and leaving the table, my father hold me. "Jun Hui, can you sit down first, i have something to ask you." I look at father curiously, usually we have our talk at night, but look at father serious face expression, i sat down and listen to him. " Jun Hui, did you still remember how many years been mother left us? " I shocked with his question, father seldom brought up mother after she left, something must be wrong. Without showing my surprise, i answer father " Hmm... it has been 6 years already, why father ask? "

" Jun Hui... Em... Is it better to have someone take care of you? I mean... is it nice if you can have a new mother, such as Aunt Susan? " My father ask me the question that stunned me. " What? You mean you want to marry Aunt Susan and make her my step mom ??!! " I loose control of myself and shout at father. " Yes, Jun Hui. Please calm down first... Mother has left us for 6 years already, i think we have to move on with our life and not just sank deep in sorrow for the past. Aunt Susan is a wonderful women, i am sure she will be a good mother for you, just give her sometime, is it alright? " Seems that my father had made up his mind.

" What are you talking about asking, you had made your decision already, right ?!!. You are not asking me, you are just informing me!!! " I stand up shout at father and storm the dining table with my hand. " I will never accept another women as my mother, no one can replace her, not Aunt Susan nor anyone, never!!!" I grab my bag and walk out the house screaming. " Jun Hui, Jun Hui ! ..." My father chase out from the door and call for me, but i ran as fast as i could leaving him behind.... And at that moment all the memories of mother pouring out from my memories.Although 6 years pass by, i still can fell my mother hand's hold at that moment...

My mother is a beautiful women who is very caring and love me... and my father. And i have my happy childhood under her shield of care and love. But the tragic strike us when i was 9 years old back in Taiwan. That day after my school, i went back home exited bringing together with my trophy... Best student of the year. But when i reach home, i can't find mother anywhere. I ask the home maid my mother whereabouts but no one answer me, they all look troubled. Just for a while my father came home and told me " Jun Hui, come with me. I bring you to mother. Hurry up!" My father seems in hurry and sadness can be seen in his eyes. Without hesitating i hurry follow my father.

When we reach our destination, i notice we are at the town hospital, i wonder and ask father " Pa, why we are at the hospital? Is mother sick ? " My father didn't answer, he just hold my hand and walk in a very fast pace, i just barry to pick up with him. We reach at a room and my father and i walk in the room. Inside the room i saw my grandfather, grandmother, aunts and uncles. All of them look at us upon our entrance and same as father, they look sad and some aunts are in tears. I saw mother sleep on the bed. " Mama!" I exited seeing my mother, and i quickly took out my trophy. " Mama, look, my trophy ! Best student of the year." I walk to mother and show her my trophy in excitement haven't notice what's going on. " Hmm.... Jun Hui so smart... let mama have a good look of your.... trophy... " Mother open up her eyes slowly after heard my voice and talk to me." Here it is.... mama, are you sick? Why you at the hospital?" I put the trophy at mother's hand and ask her. " Mother hold my hand and said " Jun Hui.... You keep on with your.... good work at school and....be nice... when mama is not around. ok? Listen to your papa ....and take care of papa ....for mama, ok?" I node my head and answer mother " Mama, i will be nice always, but where are you going to, why you want me to take care of papa?" "Hui... be nice, mama will not be ....around for a while, i will go to a ...very far place... Dear, where are you? " Mother call for father.

" I'm here my love..." Father come from behind me and hold his hand together with me and mother. " My love... take good care oh Hui... for me, will you?..." " Yes, sure i will my love. You will be ok for sure... Hui still need you... i also need you..." I saw father answer mother with tears in his eyes. Mother didn't answer, she smile at me and father and close her eyes, seems she is going to sleep. Machine beeping beside me stop it's beep, and i felt mothers loose her hold at my hand. I was brought out of the room and saw doctors and nurses rush into the room. The whole moment is in chaos and i sat still and nicely on the bench, keep my promise to mother, be nice....
and not knowing what's happening.

My father told me of mothers death the next day at the hospital, he said mother gone to a very far place and not coming back anymore. I still remember i cry for the 3 whole days for mother's leaving me. 2 years after mother's death we migrate to Singapore to live a new life... that's what father's think...

" Jun Hui, father outstation for 2 weeks time, i hope you can make your decision at this period of time. We will discuss again when i come back. Take care. " I saw the notes father left for me when i came back home... here he's gone again for business, it's better this way, at least we will not quarrel again for this 2 weeks... Decision is absolute.... nothing to be discuss... no one can replace mother... forever...

Aunt Susan...

It's she again, Aunt Susan. She is my father's girlfriend who came to my house often recently. I didn't like her much, although she is a beautiful lady at her 30's. Why father want another women to be with him, have he forgot mother, how can he do that!

"Zhun Hui, how's your school life lately? " Aunt Susan approach me at living hall, sat beside me and start talking to me. I ignore her and keep my eyes on TV. " You want to joint us for dinner tonight? Your father and i going to Japanese restaurant this evening. " She keep on talking to me and invite me for dinner. I ignore her again, grab my bag and walk out the door to school. I will not accept her as my mother, no one can replace my mother.

Today is the last day of school. In the classroom everyone talking and planning for the coming holiday. " Ah Toot, any plan for the holiday? " Jonathan ask me. " Oh, not planning anything." I answer Jonathan. " Want to joint us? We are going to Malaysia for a whole week, first we go to Genting, next K.L. bla..... " Jonathan invite me to joint him and the gang. " Hm... No thanks, i would like to spend the holidays in Singapore. But thanks for invite me." I reject Jonathan without hesitate. I dislike to travel far for vacation, it's very exhausting and some time too rush.
" Ok lol, after this we going to have lunch, come lah, i introduce you to my new girlfriend Xiao Xiao. " " Eh??? Your girlfriend Xiao Xiao? Then how about Ah Ping? Isn't she your girlfriend?" I surprise with Jonathan introduce. "Ho, Ah Ping is past tense, Xiao Xiao is present tense. Got it? " Jonathan anwer me with nasty smile. That's Jonathan, always looking for new girlfriend. Is this the third or fouth since i know him, lost count already. Maybe i should keep my distance from him from now on , i doesn't like his flirting behavior. " Next time maybe, i have something to do after school." I reject him again. " OK lol, see you after holiday." Jonathan walk away.

I walk on the way to bus stand after school and not feel like going home, because i will see Aunt Susan again at home. " Ai... where shall i kill my time. " i talk to myself. When i still thinking where to hang out, i saw someone waiting at the bus stand. " Oh, Xiao Fen." I walk up to her and call her. We have been in contact for some time, and i found out that she and i have a lot of same interest. Xiao Fen look back at me and smile at me. " Where are you going?" I ask her. " Oh, no where to go, go home lol." hah, school holiday just started and you are going home. Didn't you fell boring? " " Actually me and my friend plan to catch a movie, but she fall sick, so the movie is cancelled." Xiao Fen answer me in disappointing face. " Hmm.... i will take you to some special and fun place...... is it ok? " I quickly suggest Xiao Fen to hang out with me, this is a good change for me. " Hm..... ok lol." She agreed without hesitate for long time.

I took Xiao Fen to my usual Cafe, it's not far from school. It's a nice and quiet place to hang out. The Cafe provide some magazine and board games for customers, i always come here alone to have my quiet moment. I order some drinks and snacks, and take some board games to play with Xiao Fen. She seems exited with the board games and told me that she haven't play some of the board game since childhood. We have a very happy afternoon playing games, talks about interesting things happen in school. Before going back home we promise to have another hang out next time. On the way home, we continue our conversation at the Cafe with SMS.

It's a cherry moment talking to her. Seems that she accept me completely as her friend and open up her heart for me already. Today maybe my luckiest day in my life... maybe...

Stupid me ...

" Hi, i like you, can you date with me?...." Oh... will that be to direct? Maybe i will use another one " Yo, baby... you are so beautiful, have a date with me? " Ha ! That will be too stupid. Aw.... what am i going to write, this really giving me headache. " Oh, calling Jonathan for help will be a good idea." I call for Jonathan helps at once.

" Do, Do.... Do,do.... Hallo." It didn't take long for Jonathan to pick up the phone. " Wei, Jonathan, it's me Ah Toot. I.... I.... I.... " " Oh, Ah toot, wat's up, slow down a bit, take a deep breath first, you seems in a hurry. " Jonathan know me well and try to calm me down. " Jonathan, i .. i.. have a favour to ask.... can you teach me how to write a love letter ? " I ask Jonathan. " Oh, love letter only mah, easy job lah. Who's your target? " Jonathan teasing me. " Aiya, don't play me lah, you know who... " I answer Jonathan in higher volume. " Ok, ok, don't get angry lah. Just kidding lol. Xiao Fen oh, she is the difficult type. Hm... i wonder why you like her, big head, not smart..bla...bla... " Jonathan teasing me again. " Jonathan ! " I shout at Jonathan. "Aw... ok,ok. You don't have to shout. It's only a joke.. "

" Hm, Xiao Fen ha... as what i observed, she is the most difficult type to pursuit at this stage. The most important point is, she has no intention to have boyfriend right now. This info came from a reliable resource... eh, Da Nai Bing told me that. So, the one and only way is............. become her friend first and slowly break her icy heart. Fast move will only scare her away. Futher action and steps will be advise at later section, today consultation and information charges total SGD100 only. Thank you. " Jonathan did gave me advise and info but he didn't forget to tease me again. " Oh... like that ah, ok lol, thank you. I will bank in the payment at 30 th February. ok, bye " I hang up on Jonathan with laughter." Well, maybe make friend with her will be a good idea, better hurry write down a note before she walk out from the exam hall.

"Ring..... " Exam section is over, i saw Xiao Fen walk out from classroom and packing her belonging.... alone. " Ok, Zhun Hui, you can do it. Just walk up to her and pass her the note. " I walk up to Xiao Fen fell that my heart almost bounce out my mouth. I tap on Xiao Fen shoulder from behind, and sh look back at me with very surprised face expression. Silence between us last for almost ten seconds, and she spoke " Err, are you looking for me? " "Oh ! what am i doing, come on , speak to her and give her the note ! " I shout at myself, but what i did was put my both hand in my pocket, looking at floor and node my head... only. " Why you looking for me?" She ask again, seems she is start getting impatient with me.

I hand out the note written " Hi Xiao Fen, can i be your friend? From : Zhun Hui " at the bottom of the note i wrote down my hand phone no. Though i had practice this for a lots of time already, but still can't stop my hand from shaking. " What is this? " Xiao Fen take the note and ask me. "I cannot take it anymore, get me out of here!" I turn around and walk away as fast as i could and leave Xiao Fen behind me.

I forgot how i get back home, the moment i remember i was at home when my hand phone rang for incoming SMS. " Is it from Xiao Fen? Maybe not..." I ask myself and recall the thing i did at school, oh.... so idiot and stupid, maybe she will ignore me forever. The message showing unidentified number, when i read the SMS it says: OK lol, i will be your friend. But next time please look at me and talk to me lol. If not so how can we be friend, right? Friend ?

" Hooray !!!!!!!! " I jumped up from dining room sofa. " Aiyo ! Young master, you nearly scared me to death." Ah Lian my house servant shock with my sudden reaction. " Haha, sorry, i was too exited ! " I answer Ah Lian while saving the number into my handphone. Later i will write it down in my phone book just in case i lost my hand phone. Jonathan advice has being a great help to me, tomorrow i should buy him a lunch to thanks him. Another great step to Xiao Fen heart.... hope can reach there in no time ... i hope.....
