JUON !!!!!!!!!!

After a week of consideration and research been done, i have made a conclusion. The best moment to hold a girls hand is in the cinema, when the surrounding is dark and no one notice... Mmm... this is what Jonathan told me, he said he did that everytime and he success everytime. So i have ask Xiao Fen to the movie today.

While still waiting for Xiao Fen at the cinema front door, i searching the ad poster and wondering which movie should i choose. The action movie... to noisy and violent, Xiao Fen didn't like that. The art movie... Last time when we watch this kind of movie, i fall asleep in the middle of movie. The comedy... mmm... this can't make a perfect mood and moment for my plan... Ah hah ! The horror movie... JUON ! This will be perfect, Xiao Fen love the excitement of the horror and... hehehe, this will create a perfect mood and timing for me to hold her hand... While i am still day dreaming the moment, someone approach me from behind.

?? " Wei! Why are you smiling alone in front of the poster? " Someone tap on my shoulder and this gave me a shock.

Toot " Ah !!! Oh, it's you Xiao Fen, you really scared me lol. What's keeping you, you have been late for 20 minutes already. " it's Xiao Fen who surprised me from behind.

Fen " Huh ! You must have done many bad things or thinking about something evil. " Xiao Fen look at me suspiciously.

Toot " Em... oh... nothing lah, i am looking at this horror movie poster and start feeling dizzy, and you come from behind and scared me. " I answer Xiao Fen.

Fen " Oh... what's so scary about that poster. Oh..... JUON ! Yes ! Da Nai Bing told me that this is a great movie, we will pick this movie today, ok? " Xiao Fen anxiously asking for my opinion when she saw the poster, and i know she is walking slowly into my plan.

Toot " Ok lol, whatever lah. "

I bought the tickets and Xiao Fen bought us some popcorn and drinks. Then we hurry walk into the cinema because the movie is playing soon. After we made our self comfort on the seats, i notice that just a few watching the movie, maybe today is not weekend and this movie have been on show for a few weeks already. My heart start to bounce faster than usual, my first hand hold with Xiao Fen.

Toot " Ah !!!!!!!!!!! " I cover my eyes when the ghost crawling down from the stair. The way she crawl and the sound she made... AH!!!!!!!!! so scary!!!!!!!!!

We walk out from the cinema after the movie, my hand is cold and i still can't recall my soul from the movie, it's too scary and i bet my face is as pale as a paper. And the most of all, I forgot to hold Xiao Fen hand because i am too in to the movie !!!!!!

Xiao Fen is very exited about the movie and talk about it along the way back to her home. Spare me, i wouldn't want to remember any scenes in the movie. This maybe the scariest movie i ever watched and the dumpest idea and plan i have ever made. I think i will have to made another plan again, but one thing for sure....... NO MORE JUON !!!!!

I am back from Hell

It's been a while and lucky for me to back from hell. The works had makes me live my life like in hell LOL.

Torture moment

Mm... this is the 2 nd week me and Xiao Fen been officially attached, but... i still feel that we not seems like a couple... Why? Because until now i haven't even hold her hand yet.

Today after school, i send Xiao Fen back home as usual. This had become our daily routine, because i want to spend more time with her. In the school we try to act as normal, not as a couple, because Xiao Fen told me she doesn't want others to talk behind our back if we get too close.

We sat at the bus stop as usual, and Xiao Fen tell us the things that happened with Jade. She told me that Jade's parents divorced and reason why she acting so irritating. After hearing her story i can understand how Jade feel, at that moment i actually not angry with her anymore. Her past is quite similar with me, the broken and incomplete family hurts us the children heart deeply... But i had get over with it, because i had a nice and understanding friends always there for me.

Xiao Fen keep on her story on the way home, but i have other though in my mind, When will i ever going to hold her hand, we are couple already but we didn't act like one. Several times i try to hold her hand when crossing the road but i stopped everytime i touched her hand. I know as a men i should take the initiative, but i just couldn't do it, my heart was pounding so fast and my hands sweat everytime i try to hold her.

On the way walk to Xiao Fen home, i make my try again. I swing my hands front and back and try to catch her hand... but seems that Xiao Fen knew my intention and i can sense that she avoid me a bit... Oh... That's hurting me, i wonder she avoid me purposely or the other way around. Again my try fail, i walk her back home and go back home very disappointed.

This night i can't get myself to fall asleep... keep thinking what's happened today... is she not ready to be with me? or she didn't like to hold hand in public.... or maybe she didn't really like me at all.... Questions circling in my head and that makes me feel so low... Maybe i should talk with her how i felt be frank with her what i want... as a couple... Oh... maybe i'll call my love counselor - Jonathan for another advice... Love... this is torture...

Jade = Irritating

It have been four days since school started, i am still can't get to know all the classmate. But, there is someone who really make me remember her the first day in school... Jade! Frankly, in my 18 years of life, i never seen someone who is soooooooo irritating! And the very bad luck for me, her seat is just in front of me... Let me tell her story from the first day of school...

The first day in school usually not a day for lesson, every teacher is busy and the best part for us all is ... get to know the classmates. My seats is three row behind Xiao Fen, and i'm kind of disappointed, you know... my best wish is to sit beside her. The one who sit beside her is Mei Yun... emm... she looks cool, short hair, cool face and attracts me the most is, her ear piercing, she actually pierced 5 holes at her ear, is that hurt i wonder... Da Nai Bing sit 2 row in front of her, still she is the center of the class... center of loud speaker...hehe. Tian Cai Qing 1 row in front of me, and the one who sit infront of me is... Jade.
While teacher out of the class, we all start to making havoc. After introduce myself to Jade, she reply me and said.
Jade " I'm Jade... Emm... that dumb girl is your girlfriend ah. HmHm..." the tone she used and her looks shows that she look down on Xiao Fen. And thats the first and last time i spoke to her since.

And the incident last friday makes me more uncomfortable with her. After the class, when teacher walk out, suddenly Jade took Tian Cai Qing bag and search his bag without his permission, Qing with Da Nai Ping at that moment. We all shocked for what she did and stared at her, but she ignore our staring and keep on searching Qing bag. Finally someone stand up and walk to her... Da Nai Ping to the rescue! She walk to Jade, stand in front of her, poit a finger at her and said.

Bing "Wei!!! Why are you searching other people's bag!" She tune her volume at her max i think.

And surprising Jade actually ignore her totally. Da Nai Bing was so angry, she snatch Tian Cai Qing bag back and stared at Jade fire in her eyes. And again Jade act out of our normal human being behaviour column, she stared at Bing and said.

Jade " Ha! A book worm, and a brainless stupid girl!" And she walk out the class leaving us in total shock. Can't understand why she acting like that, Tian Cai Qing didn't offend her at all...

Today also a day of Jade outrageous behavior day. Teacher want us to have a group discussion on " How technologies threaten our modern society", and unluckily, me and Tian Cai Qing have to group with Jade. In the whole discussion, Jade didn't speak a word or give any idea. The way she act had frustrate a group member, he gave Jade order to represent our group to speak in front of the class. We all can see that she is kind of scared with that group member.As we still happy for what happened, Jade stand up and claim she had a stomach ache, and rush to the washroom, she never came back since.

After school, we found out that Jade have been granted 2 days of sick leave. Oh well, at least we have 2 days of good school day without her...

Who am i ? Part II

Hair... checked, shirt... checked, flower... checked. Ok, i am all ready. I step down the car with flower in my hand, and i noticed that many eyes looking at me. I didn't take serious for their attention, my only concern is how Xiao Fen looks at me. I walked straight to the classroom.

When i step in the classroom, the noisy atmosphere suddenly became as queit as in the library, and i saw Xiao Fen with Da Nai Ping looking at me. I walk to her with the most cool step i learned from Jay, when i stop in front of her, i didn't say a words and hand her the flowers and look at her with the most charming eyes expression i can made. Xiao Fen didn't say a words, took the flowers and keep quiet, but i can saw her face flush red, how cute she is... At this wonderful moment, someone said " Teacher coming..." So i hurry back to my seats, hehe, i bet Xiao Fen is very touched and happy.

After the class, Xiao Fen come to me and sit by me. She said.

Fen " Em... why you do all this today? " I sense that she is not very happy.

Hui " Oh, it's nothing really... You are my girlfriend right, it's nothing wrong give you the flowers... You don't like it? " I carefully answer her and look at her expression.

Xiao Fen said nothing but only shake her head. She seems still not that exited for what i have did, so i said.

Hui " Well, what do you think of different me today, do you like it?"

Fen " You don't have to be so exaggerate... i prefer the simple you..." Xiao Fen look at me showing some unhappy face towards me. I am really disappointed for what she said, all the things i've done to please her actually didn't pleased her at all.

Fen " You are handsome enough, others girls will like you if you are too handsome, i will be jealous lol." Maybe Xiao Fen saw my disappointed expression and try to cheer me up. But this can't help to take away the lousy feeling in me.

Looking at the mirror, the different Ah Toot from usual. Is this really me? Is this really what i want? And finally i smile at myself, yes, Xiao Fen is right... I am who i am, she likes me for who i am and not somebody else. I don't have to intimate others to please her, how silly i am to done all those stupid things. And i am happy to be myself again, it's quite cocky to intimate Jay, because he is too cool. Haha.

Who am i ? Part I

Who am i? I look at the mirror and ask myself the same question again and again... Different hair, different style of wearing and different way of talking, is these making me different from myself... will these attract Xiao Fen more... I recall what happen today...

Today is the first day of school, and i have woke up early to prepare myself. To makes myself look cool, i gel my hair up like a superstar, and it took me an hour. Because i spend too much time on my hair, i hurry dress up and rush to school. Ah Phoon drove me to school today because i have another place to go before school, and this is the surprise i prepare for Xiao Fen, Jonathan told me this will make most of the girl love you...forever. While i still day dream and smiling, Ah Phoon suddenly stop his car and said.

Phoon " Young master, we are here."

Hui " Oh ! ya right, thanks. Give me a minute, i won't be long." I notice we have stop in front of a flower shop. I hurry walk out the car to the flower shop.

Hui " Hai, morning. I come for the flower i ordered yesterday." I talk to the shopkeeper who busy under the desk.

Shopkeeper " Ok, can you wait for a while..." She seems busy with something but i can't see what she is busy with and i can't see her face either.

After few minutes, finally she stand up from behind the desk.

Shopkeeper " Hi, sorry for the waiting. What can i help you? "

I found out she is not the shopkeeper who took my order yesterday. Yesterday was a middle age auntie, but now she is a pretty young lady who looks about my age. She dress casually with cute cartoon apron, her hair was roll up and clip with a big hair clip. Yes she looks kind of messy and that can't stop and cover up her shiny and sunshine temperament.

Hui " Oh yes! I come for the flower i booked yesterday. Have you prepared it? My name is Jun Hui. " Notice that i will be late for school if i keep on wasting my time, i hurry told her my order.

Shopkeeper " Jun Hui.... ah, your order is prepared. Please wait for a while, i'll get you your flower. Mmm... where is it..." She is quick with her work.

Shopkeeper " Ah hah! Here you are! " I saw her stand up from a pile of flowers.

Shopkeeper " There you go. A dozen of red roses, is it correct?" She handed me the roses.

Hui " Yes, yes. Thank you. " I took the roses from her and went out the door in a hurry. Before i went out the door i heard she said.

Shopkeeper " Thank you, i am Xin Yi, do come again!" I look back and saw her waive me goodbye with big smile on her face. Mm, what a polite and sunny girl she is, i think i will come back again if i need flowers again.

Andy Lau... Brad Pitt... Jay Chou.. Tom Cruise.... which one should i use. Just a hair makeover turn me up side down already, not to mention the outfit. I called Jonathan and he gave me plenty of idea have to please a girl. He gave me his secret 'recipe'... 10 Ways To Make Your Girl Crazy For You... Mm... thats what he told me.

The most important step he teach me was... have a total makeover of my appearance. He said i look so dump and didn't have any taste in my outfit selection, so he teach me to follow what's the current most popular actor haurs look like and what they wear, that will be the best guideline for me. So that's why i'm in a bundle of magazine and frustrating which actor i should follow.

It's a pity that June went back to Australia already, if not i can have some advise from her. Well, it's all up to myself now... Andy Lau looks good in this mature looks, Brad Pitt nice in his elegant outfit, Tom Cruise is so handsome with Armani on him... but the biggest problem for me to imitate them because... i didn't have their good looking face. Mm... Jay Chou should be ok, he didn't have very good looking face and once someone told me i looks kind like him... hehe.

Jay Chou... the only thing i my mind is...cool. Yes i can dress like him, the Hip Hop style, and his hair... got to be cool too. Ok, i finally decide he will be my imitate target. 2 more days the new school year will start, i have to prepare all the necessary equipment. And one more goods news this morning from Jonathan... I will be classmate with Xiao Fen, i was so happy and thanks to god that gave me this opportunities to be with Xiao Fen. Better getting prepare, i want to surprise Xiao Fen the fist day in school... hehe...

Yes... I Do...

3 days have passed since the vacation... after what happened between me and Xiao Fen, i have been waiting for Xiao Fen answer, but... oh... she didn't even SMS me. What is she thinking, did she like me ? If she doesn't, why she let me kiss her? Ten thousand of question circle in my head...

Suddenly Wei Wei ( my lovely dog ) jump up and bark. Seems like someone coming.

June " Jun Hui ! what are you doing here ? " Oh, it's my step sister... eh future step sister i mean.

Hui " Nothing, just playing with Wei Wei. " Still i haven't accept her as my sister completely, so i answer her elaborately.

June " Hehe, hi Wei Wei... haha stop it... hahaha." Wei Wei start playing with June, seems like she had won Wei Wei heart. Well, at least she is an animal lover, the one who likes animal won't be too bad.

Hui " Oh yes, when you will go back to Australia? " I try to find some topic between us.

June " Next week, actually the new semester will start at least 1 more month, but i have to get back there earlier and do some preparation... and have some fun before school begin.. hehe." She smile.

Hui " Ha! didn't know you are such playful girl... i thought... "

June " What you thought? I'm a sissy girl who only go for shopping, beauty saloon. Yes, i did that some time, just with my mother. In Australia, i am an outdoor person. Rock climbing, cycling tour around the city... Oh, have you ever try the bungee jump? That's my favorite! " June talks about her life at Australia unstopable... But what do you know, she really surprised me! An outdoor person, i thought she is a quite and indoor girl. And Bungee Jump! Wow, i think i didn't even dare to do that.

We have a nice afternoon chatting at the garden, and i get to know her more. She really is something, even hide from her mother her Australian boyfriend, and she want me to keep the secret for her. Haha, it's fun talking with her, and i think it's ok to have a sister like her, always so sunny. I think next time i shouldn't judge other just by their looks, looks really can't tell anything of a person...

After dinner, when i lie on the bed thinking about Xiao Fen, my phone rang. Oh! It's a SMS from Xiao Fen... At once i open the SMS inbox.

" Ah Toot, sorry for not contact you this few days. I really need some time to think it over between us. I really happy and cherish you as a friend, but now i have made up my mind.... Thank you for being so brave and say those words that have touched me deeply. Actually i know i really care about you, i can't imagine what will happen if you're not by my side... Actually what i want to say is... I Like You. "

Xiao Fen wrote a long SMS... and what she says have became 1 of the happiest moment in my life. At that moment my heads went blank and the only person in my mind is Xiao Fen, she accept me and said she like me, is this a dream i ask myself. I 'woke up' after a while, and start to write a question to confirm our relationship.

" Will you be my girlfriend? " I send to Xiao Fen. And just second after, i received her reply.

" Ok " Ha! Yes! I did it... finally, this is the moment i've been waiting for since the first day i saw her at the school front door. The dream had come true and i can't find any words to express how happy i am.

" :-) " because i can't express my feeling at that moment, i send her a smily face and i hope she can understand how happy i am...

Er..... what i gonna do. i actually have no idea what i should do with my girlfriend, this is the 1st time i'm with someone.... i think i better call Jonathan tommorow to have some advice from him.

Unforgetable Vacation - Part III

After the game, me, sam and Tian Cai Qing went upstairs for shower. Me and Sam sat at the balcony while waiting for our turn. My mind was so confuse at that time, still thinking why Xiao Fen didn't choose me. But someone help me to clean up my messy head.

Sam " Chun Hui... are you trouble for what happened just now... i mean about Xiao Fen kissing me. " Sam suddenly speak to me while i'm in my deep thought.

Hui " Oh... not really... "

Sam " I know you are not happy... but i swear, i have nothing to do with Xiao Fen." Sam try to explain himself.

Hui " I understand... " I know Sam have nothing to do with Xiao Fen behavior, and i didn't angry and blame him.

Sam " Chun Hui... can i ask you something? You like Xiao Fen didn't you?"

Hui " Mm... all of you can tell, right? " I'm surprise Sam ask me that question so direct.

Sam " Yes... and we know that you are someone special for Xiao Fen too. I know how you feel right now for what happened just now, but you want to listen to some of my opinion? "

Hui "Mm... sure, why not. "I know i really need some advise now.

Sam " Ok, i'll speak my mind then. I think Xiao Fen likes you too, that's everyone know. And i think i can explain why she didn't pick you just now... you know girls, always didn't want to let the one she like get what he want that easily, and can be very cocky facing the one she like. So i think that's why she pick me just now, she can face me more easily because i'm just some ordinary friend for her. Haha ! come on friend, take the initiative, don't tell me you expect a girl to made the first move, right?"

What Sam told me clear up all the doubt and confuse in my head. Why i can't think of that earlier, that's what happen when you are in the middle of a situation, always can't see the clear picture and think wise, the spectator will have a clearer view. Thank to Sam, i've made up my mind... i'm going to tell Xiao Fen how much i love her.

After the shower i went down stair to look for Xiao Fen, and i saw her chatting with DNP. I walk to them and they stop their conversation.

Bing " Ah Toot, have your shower already ah. " DNB notice my appearance and talk to me, and Xiao Fen look back at me at the same time.

Hui " Oh... i... have something to talk with Xiao Fen. "

Bing " Oh ! Ok, no problem. I need to go up stair.... er.... to take something. You two take your time hah." DNP being smart and leave us. When she was away i said.

Hui " Xiao Fen, can you take a walk with me? " I invite Xiao Fen to take a walk and away from others.

Fen " Ok." She answer me without any hesitation.

While the walk from chalet to the beach, we didn't speak a word, because i am thinking what i should say to express my love. And we walk to a pavilion at the beach.

Hui " Let's rest here for a while. " I suggest.

When we sat at the bench, i can feel my palm were all sweat, and i decide to say something.

Hui " Xiao Fen, do you know that you are my best friend here at Singapore? "

Xiao Fen didn't answer me, she just kept her head down. At that moment i was so anxious and try to find some topic to raise her attention.

Hui " No matter where my father sending me to for study, i promise i won't forget you."

Fen " You... want go abroad for study? " Finally she show her interest. But what i've said ??! I just made up something to take her attention, so i response.

Hui " Not now lah... but it's hard to tell what will happen in the future. What i mean is... there will always a special place for you in my heart, always...." I express how important she is to me. Xiao Fen looking at me with some tears in her eyes, i know that i touched her heart at that moment.

Hui " The game just now... frankly i was unhappy that you choose Sam and not me. " I stopped a while and look at Xiao Fen.

Hui " I will choose you for sure given the situation." After the expression of my love for her, i done the bravest thing in my whole life.

I put my hands on Xiao Fen shoulder, turn her facing me, and.... slowly i move myself to her... and i kissed her... on her lips !!! And wow !!! that's the moment of magic, this is my first kiss with girl and it was.... WOW !!! Her soft lips catches my heart so deep, even the end of the world had no matters for me, just the kiss did... The kiss only last for a few second, but i felt like a century passed.

When our lips seperate, i look at Xiao Fen. She looks so beautiful ,her face was blush with shame, her eyes was shinning like the prettiest gem stone i've ever seen... I made a promise to myself at that moment, i will love her, protect her and cherish her till i die... but after a while, she surprised me again...

Fen " Ah... cho! ah cho! ........" Xiao Fen actually...... sneeze... and non-stop she do that. Haha, what a thing to do at that moment. I think she catch the cold already, so i hurry bring her back to the chalet.

But there is still one thing troubled me that made sleepless until now.... Xiao Fen didn't say she love me or not... Ai.......... sleepless night again today...

Unforgetable Vacation - Part II

The moment of joy pass by without even noticed, Da Nai Ping call us when we still chatting at the beach not knowing the renting hours for the bikes almost over. Me and Xiao Fen hurry back to avoid the extra charges, luckily we made it on time to void the charges. It's only quarter pass 3 after the walk at the beach, still some hours for dinner. The most playful of us all, DNP seems can't stand the bore and suggest to catch a movie, everyone agreed with her cause ... there is really kind of boring sitting at the chalet doing nothing.

After the movie, it's almost 7 already, we hurry back to the chalet because there were others who will joint us for the BBQ party. The party was fun, there were 6 to 7 others joint us and the food was great too, especially the chicken wing. We have nice time BBQ'ing and i baked 3 wing for Xiao Fen and i can see she really likes it. The BBQ is over at around 8:30, the food was wiped clean and i already have a full stomach. After we clean up the mess we cause, all of us gather at the living hall resting.

DNP " Ooi, so boring leh. Want to play some game?" The most playful among us come out with something again.

DNP " Ok ! I will decide. We play......... Heart Attack!"

Hmm??!! What is that is wonder, i never heard of it before. After demonstration from DNP, i realise it was a game which compete for reaction. The game didn't last long, because there is one slowbie in us... Daphne. We pity for her because her hand already red and swollen. So the captain DNP decide to play another special game... Truth or Dare. The game did gave us alots of laughter, and i found out some secret of the gang. It was really fun until that moment...

DNP " Ha ! Xiao Fen, finally it's you! How lucky you are escaped the whole night. Qing ! come here! We decide something special for her. " The bottle point to Xiao Fen at last, and DNP making havoc and discuss with TCQ and the others what Xiao Fen have to do. Xiao Fen look at me looking for help, and i look back at her helplessly. After a while the Torture Queen finally make up her mind and the decision was shocking.

DNP " Ok, Xiao Fen, here is what you have to do... TADA ! you have to pick a guy, kiss his face for 10 seconds or... his lip for 1 second. Choose wise.......... hohoho!" The torture queen laugh wickedly.

Ah ! This is a great chance, i whispered. Seems that DNP want to drag me up with Xiao Fen. I saw Xiao Fen look at TCQ at first but shake her head immediately, yes he is DNP boyfriend, she will not choose him. Then it left only me and Sam, and i'm sure Xiao Fen will choose me because i know Xiao Fen is not that close to Sam. The gang making noise and encourage Xiao Fen to kiss me, i look at her calmly without showing how exited i am. The situation last for almost 3 minutes, Xiao Fen still feel embarrassing to do so. Finally Wen Ting help come in, she suggest me and Sam stand up, close our eyes and let Xiao Fen decide. And without any hesitation, i did as told.

The moment seems to be so long and i can feel my hand sweat like hell. Suddenly all the others stop making noise and silence at the living hall. Hm...? I feel curious what happened and opened my eyes, and i saw the scene that boil my blood and break my heart. Xiao Fen choose Sam and i saw her kissing his face. After 10 seconds...

Fen " Challenge success! " She smile and said after kissed Sam for 10 seconds.

I look at Xiao Fen but she avoid my eyes like kiddo being catched doing wrong things. After the incident we keep on the game but my heart was not in the game anymore. Lots of question in my head and i have to figure it out.

Unforgetable Vacation - Part I

I am carry with me a small luggage, sitting at the bus stop near Xiao Fen house waiting for her... and her friends. Been very exited since last night when Xiao Fen ask me to have a night stay at Eastcoast Garden chalet with her friends. This is the first time i go on vacation with friends, and not with my family... and with Xiao Fen some more, it has been a sleepless night for me last night.

All the participants beeing punctual and we set off immediately. There were 7 of us, 3 guys and 4 girls. I am more familiar with Tian Cai Qing and Da Nai Bing, because Xiao Fen always told me story of them, and i know they were couples now. It was quite em brassing at the way to the chalet, because i didn't know them at the first hand and you know me, i am not a talkative type. But because the effort of DNP, that big and loud speaker start making havoc and jokes on the bus, thanks to her before reaching our destination, we all can get along and talk cheerfully.

I never knew that ECG have some nice spot and chalet after all, although the chalet is not nice as the 5 star hotel, but it is clean and cosy... and the rent is reasonable and affordable for us. After place our luggage aside, we all agreed to walk around, Wen Ting suggest of renting bikes and roller skate. Me and Xiao Fen didn't know how to skate, so we rent the bikes. Sam and Daphne were with us at first, but Daphene fall off the bike and hurt herself, Sam accompany Daphene back to chalet and left only me and Xiao Fen. Finally i have the moment alone with Xiao Fen, i whisper and smile. We race along the way to the beach and stop at the beach to have some rest. Seeing Xiao Fen keep huff and puff, i hand her a bottle of water. Xiao Fen look at me and say.

Fen " How about you? "

Hui " I'm the invincible camel, can last a long time waterless. " I joke to Xiao Fen.

Xiao Fen look at me and gave me a 'Boring...' look, and smile at me after that. Seems that see enjoy my joke. We silence and enjoy the cosy moment after that. After a while i broke the silence.

Hui " When is the last time we have our heart to heart talk like this? "

Fen " Hm... you are busy with your part time job, can't spare your time lol... Oh yes, between you and your father... are you guys ok now? " Oh! how sweet she is still concern about me.

Hui " We already stop fighting already... You are right, i shouldn't be so selfish and think for myself only."

Xiao Fen smile and said " Oh, that's great news. And have you pick up your relationship with Aunt Susan? "

Hui " Well... i still can't accept her completely, so i told myself to treat her and her daughter as my friend first, and we'll see."

Fen " Is ok to be friend fist... OOh, Aunt Susan have a daughter too. How old she is? Where she study? " Xiao Fen seems interested when she heard about June, Aunt Susan's daughter. I wonder why... hmm...

Hui " 1 year older than me, she study in Australia, just get to know her last week, she came back for summer holiday. I met her at the store few days ago, last day i work at the store... Well... although she have been nice to me, but i still can't stand her 'Missy' attitude. Oh... what can i do, she will be my sister after all, so have to bear with it."

I notice Xiao Fen eyes shinny while she listen to my introduction of June, and she smile secretly at herself.

Hui " What are you smile at? " I ask her.

Fen " Oh! nothing, just ... happy for you." Xiao Fen act like she was caught doing something wrong. Oh.... girls... always so unpredictable. I think i still can't understand girls even till the day i die.

Prince Charming

Today felt myself like a price charming in Xiao Fen eyes... Hm... it's really fell great. hehe.

Yesterday before i went home, Jonny told me that he have some important and urgent occation to attend tommorow, so he will not be around the whole afternoon. He told me to find a friend to help me out, he will pay for the works. The first person i remember and want to call is Xiao Fen, she call me sometime and complaining of her boring school holiday, i think she will be interested to take the offer.... and i can spend time alone with her... hehe. But i was wrong think that she will take the offer easily, aiyoh!... She always have her concern working part time, the reason and excuse she gave is not more than parents not allowed, worry can manage the staore and bla.... I takes me a lot of effort to persuade her, luckily she agreed in the end.

Xiao Fen have been punctual show herself before 2 pm, when i saw her stand at the front door seems hesitating, i went out and drag her inside. Haha, what a shy little girl she is. I introduce Xiao Fen to Jonny, and Jonny smile at her and smile whicked at me ... I bet Jonny still remember her when the last time her visit to the store looking for me, and i'm sure he's thinking nonsence on my relationship with Xiao Fen. Luckily he didn't ask me anything because he's quite in a rush, he just gave Xiao Fen some simple intruction, then he walk out the door for his appoinment.

Looking at Xiao Fen bluring, didn't know what to do, i quickly explain to her what she have to do. I teach her the way to manage a store from tidy the shelf to works at the cash caunter. Xiao Fen is a fast learner, she picks up all the works routine with just a couple of practice... Wow, i bet she also do great in her exam too.

After a while as i tidy up the magazine area, i heard Xiao Fen talking to someone, but the words i heard from her is " Huh ??". What is happening is wonder, so i left my job and walk to her at the caunter. I saw her talking to a white man but seems that she cannot understand what the white man is saying. I walk up and said.

Hui " Hello, sir, what can i help you?"

Man " Can i get a copy of local daily? " The white man spoke in a very strong american slang, no wonder Xiao Fen can't understand.

I pick up a local english newspaper for him, he pay for the paper at the caunter and thanks Xiao Fen for several times. I notice Xiao Fen staring at me after the american left, so i ask .

Hui " What is it? "

Fen " Wow, you are so good dealing with the white man, i can't even understand what he is saying. "

Oh... Xiao Fen is impressed with what i did just now. So i explain to Xiao Fen that the white man speak in strong American slang, and i went to america once every year to visit my cousin, so that's why i can understand the strong slang. Xiao Fen noded and looks very impresses with me, hehe...

But Xiao Fen disaster at the store just began... After a couples of hour busy serving the customers, Xiao Fen walk to me and ask me what she have to do because she saw an uncle flipping the magazine for almost fifteen minutes and not intending to buy or leave, and the way he flip the magazine had cause damage too. I told Xiao Fen give him 5 more minutes, and we shall chase her away. But just before i want to chase the unle away, i saw Xiao Fen walk to that uncle and said.

Fen " Hello, uncle... buying magazine? " Seems that Xiao Fen decide to chase the uncle herself, so i stand aside and she what she can do.

That uncle ignore Xiao Fen, and i heard Xiao Fen raise her voice and pointing to the No Reading sign.

Fen " The magazines here is for sale, please pay for it if you wish to read, ok?"

Uncle " I read the magazine as i like, how dare you come and lecture me!" That uncle shout at Xiao Fen fiercely and i can see Xiao Fen was scared by him. How dare he bully Xiao Fen like that ! I walk to them and stand beside that uncle, without any warning i snatch the magazine away from that uncle.I roar at him tell him to leave, and i will call the police if he didn't do so. That uncle was shocked with my reaction, he mumble something before he left the store, i didn't hear what he said but it's ok as long as he left.

I saw Xiao Fen look at me with highly impress and admiring looks.... Haha, i wonder how i looks just now in Xiao Fen eyes... Maybe i'm a prince charming riding a snow white house with sword on my hand to the rescue... haha... What i've done today maybe will make Xiao Fen likes me more and maybe.... love me.... hahaha....

Run away from home - Part III

20 minutes i stood at the front door outside my house, still hesitate either going in or not. If i go in, what shall i talk to father, apologize to him or.... my mind is confuse. Suddenly the door opened, both me and the one who opened the door was shocked, it was Aunt Susan. She looks surprised seeing me standing at the front door, but at once she grab my hand and said.

Susan " Hui, where have you been. We all so worried that something might happen on you. Come ! Your father been looking for you everywhere and haven't sleep the whole night. He fainted just now, come quick! " Aunt Susan hold my hand and drag me into the house.

What ! Father fainted, i must hurry! I walk swiftly with Aunt Susan towards father's bedroom. When we step in, i saw father laying on the bed and he looks so pale and tire. I walk to him and stand beside the bed. Aunt Susan approached father and wake him.

Susan " Dear... Look who is back."

Father open his eyes as he heard Aunt Susan calling, when he saw me standing beside him, he pull me towards him and gave me a tight and warm hug.

Father " Hui, finally you are back, finally. Don't you scare me and ran away like that again, i was so worried and terrified... I fear you will leave me just like your mother did. " Father hug me tight and i can feel his tremble.

What have i done, i made father so sad and worry without even think of it. Now i knew how much father's love for me, but how unfilial i am. I hug father as tight as i can and said.

Hui " Sorry, father, i am so sorry. I won't do that again, i promise. Father, please forgive me." My tears drop.

Father " It's ok, my son, it's ok. As long as you come back, everything is ok..." Father comfort me and pet on my back as he always did when i was little.

Father let go of me ,told me to sit beside him and spoke.

Father " Hui, I'm sorry to made decision without even ask for your opinion. I know you doesn't like others to be your step mom, so i will call off the wedding and Aunt Susan won't move in to stay with us. Do you agree with that? "

Father told me a shocking news, he actually gave up marry Aunt Susan just for me. Father rather sacrifice his own happiness just for my sake, i was so touched by father's love for me. So i made a quick decision and said.

Hui " No, father, don't call off your wedding... Father, i've thought a lot since yesterday... I realised that i'm too selfish and childish all along, i never care about what you needs and what you like, i just think for myself. I understand now why father want to marry Aunt Susan and how important a companion mean for you... And i will grow up and leave this nest eventually, i don't want father to be all alone when that time come. I promise you father, i won't against your wedding anymore. "

Father and Aunt Susan looks surprised after hearing what i said. But father smile after a while, pet on my head and said.

Father " Ha... my son have grown up, really grown up... Father is happy for you, really happy for you. "

I smile back at father, notice Aunt Susan smiling at, i look at her and said.

Hui " Aunt Susan, i'm sorry for what i did previously. I'm been rude and unfair to you all the time. Can you forgive me? " I apologize to her and asking for her forgiveness.

Susan " Hui, it's ok... i understand how you feel when someone come into your life and going to be your step mom.And i want to thank you, Hui... for your understanding. " Aunt Susan forgive me, and she hold my hand firmly with tears in her eyes.

I had a long chat with father after that. I told father of what happened to me recently and told him about my part time job at Jonny's magazine store. When father ask me regards Xiao Fen, i also told him a little about my feeling towards her, and my father even encourage me go for it, he says it's not easy to find someone that we love, cherish the love i found. It has been a long time didn't have long talk with father like that. Father, i will cherish the love you gave me, i mumble to myself...

Run away from home - Part II

It has been a nice experience stay at Jonny's house. Jonny was married, have 2 adorable kids. Although i need some privacy for myself, but the kids won't let me. Two of them drag me to play with them the whole night, but i enjoy the play time with them. Jonny's wife is a great cooker, i almost ate the plate because of her delicious dishes. I envy Jonny's family, they seems so happy, not like my home, only lonely awaits me every time i am home. When i have my private moment, it was almost midnight already. Before i went to bed, Jonny have a long talk with me. He told me his story of how he begin his courier and some of his romance story, it has been a great time talking with him, he teach me a lot.

When i am alone in the room, i start to think... Am i wrong for what i've did to father? Am i not grown up and mature enough? Am i being selfish and childish? Am i..... Tones of question trouble me, but Jonny told me something that inspire me a lot.

" We all made mistake, even the saint is not always right. But we can atone for our mistake by learn from the mistake we made, and avoid us making the same mistake again. Remember, human learn from mistake to improve, that why we are here today, in an era of modern society, because we learn and improve. "

Today i went to store with Jonny early in the morning, to thanks Jonny for his accommodation yesterday night although it's not my shift to work. A busy morning pass by and Jonny gave me break to have my lunch. After i had my luch and went back to store, Jonny told me.

Jonny " Hui, just now a cute and beautiful girl came by and looking for you when you are out for lunch. She seems anxious looking for you, have you met her? She went looking for you as i told her you've gone for lunch."

Huh? A girl looking for me? Who is she i wonder. But the answer reveal short after. As i was outside the store tidy up the newspaper, someone call for me. When i look back, it was Xiao Fen. What a surprise that Xiao Fen came looking for me, and i am happy to see her, i forgot all my worries every time i saw her. I walk to her.

Hui " Xiao Fen ! Why are you here? "

Fen " Huh ! How dare you ! You know how worried your father are because you didn't went home yesterday, he's looking for you every where. " Xiao Fen gave me a feisty look and put both hand on her waist.

Father is looking fo me?! So he's still care about me... But i answer the angry Xiao Fen because i doesn't want her to know too much what happened on me.

Hui " Haiya, this is not the first time i didn't went home, he won't worry lah."

Fen " Then, why you didn't went home ? " Xiao Fen look at me and i saw a lots of question mark in her eyes. Oh... I just can't resist her innocent looks, so i decide to tell her.

Hui " Well... oh....alright... It's not nice talking at middle of the street, lets talk inside the store." I drag Xiao Fen inside.

I told Xiao Fen roughly what happened between me and my father and the reasons why i ran from home. Xiao Fen display a lots of face impression while listen to my story and show great interest of it. After i finished my story, Xiao Fen look at me with wide opened mouth, haha, it's really funny look. She keep silence for a while, i can see she is thinking of something. After a while she spoke.

Fen " Was that Aunt Susan threat you badly? " She ask me carefully.

Oh, i never thought of that before. Well, Aunt Susan is a nice person and she always take care of me. So i answer Xiao Fen.

Hui " Nope.. she has been nice to me all along. It's just... i don't like her much."

Fen " But your father love her... You are being so unfair! Let's say one day you met someone you love, you also hope your father will accept her too, right? After all, we will grow up and have our own life eventually, we will leave our parents like the birds leaving their nest after they grown up. Did you want your father to be all alone when that time come? "

Hmm...??!! What Xiao Fen said are quite same to what Jonny told me. Wow, never knew that Xiao Fen have such mature thinking under her innocent face. I start to think, i was wrong after all...

Fen " Hui, you father did love you, if you insist against his marriage, maybe your father will call it off for your sake. But, your father will be very unhappy about it, do you want your father to be sad? " Xiao Fen keep on her lecture.

Fen " Give yourself some time get to know Aunt Susan. Who knows, maybe you will get to like her. " What Xiao Fen said made me felt guilty for what i've did. Ya, she is right, i never gave myself and Aunt Susan chance get to know each other. Maybe i always think she came to snatch away my mother place in my father heart, so i won't let her get close to me... Maybe i should do so from now... But Xiao Fen getting annoying keep lecture on me, ha! Who knows, she is a quite talkative girl after all. To stop her mumbling, i said.

Hui " Ok, ok... i will go back today. Oh.. you are so annoying today..."

Xiao Fen finally stop her lecture, look at me and gave me a sweet smile and victorious look. Haha, i knew it, it's a good choice of father to get Xiao Fen to persuade me home... Mm... what i should do when i am home...

Today i'm back home because Xiao Fen told me to do so... Still can't get over with what happened yesterday, i think i need more time try to accept father's decison...

Yesterday, i'm having breakfast with my father as what he told me to. When i walk into dining room, i'm surprise there is someone else with us. She sat beside Aunt Susan at the dining table, father is talking with her with big smile on his face. They stop their conversation, looking at me when i walk in the dining room. Who is she? I ask myself. While i stood there and staring at the girl, my father said.

Father " Jun Hui, come and sit here." I sat beside my father as he told.

Father " Hui, let me introduce, she is June, Aunt Susan's daughter. And June, he is my son, Jun Hui. " My father introduction surprised me, i never knew that Aunt Susan have a daughter.

June " Hi , nice to meet you. " June wave at me and gave me a sweet smile.

Hui " Oh, hi... nice to meet you too. "

Aunt Susan " Hui, June just came back from Australia for summer holiday. She's been study there since 13. Oh yes, she is 17 now, just a year older than you. "

Hui " Oh... oh... " I answer Aunt Susan. What is that going to do with me, i mumble to myself.

Father " Ehem... Hui, i have something to tell you. You know that me and Susan going to marry 3 month from now, right? And after we married, June going to stay with us." Father 'inform' me his decision.

Hui " Suites you, do whateveeer you like, you don't have to 'inform' me...." My anger grow as i heard the announcement.

Father " What did you said ! What's that tongue you are talking to me ! " My father roar at me.

Aunt Susan " Hui, please don't be rude to your father. Be more polite." Aunt Susan joint in the lecture towards me. That's the ignition of my anger that's been lock deep inside me since the day father told me of his marriage, i loose control of my anger !

Hui " You ! Shut up ! Who do you think you are, don't try to lecture me, you are not my mother ! I will not recognize you even father married you, don't even think i'll call you 'MOTHER' ! " I stand up and shout at Aunt Susan.

Father " Hui ! What are you doing ! How can you talk to Susan like that ! Apologize to her , now ! " Father was very angry and shout at me.

Hui " Never ! I never say sorry to a shamless women like her ! "

" Slap ! " I felt a strong palm slap on my face as i just finish my sentence. I look at my father, his hand hanging and look at me furiously. I was so sad and angry at that moment, father never slap me, but he did today... And he do that for that women! Silence at the dining room for a few second and i broke the silence.

Hui " Ok... thanks for your 'slap'. Seems that i'm the trouble maker in this house right now... You want to marry her, fine. They want to move in, fine. Since i'm not welcome anymore, i think it's time for me to leave. Sorry, won't disturb your happy family anymore. " I talk calmly and ....emotionless.

I walk out the front door, ignore father and Aunt Susan calling. My tears drop... How could father threat me like that, he love me no more, he want to loose me to be with his new family? Has he forgot mother.... My mind flood with memories of mother and our happy moment with father when mother still alive. I forget how i get to the magazine store, the moment i realised, i stand infront the store already.

Jonny " Oh, Hui. You are early today. " I saw Jonny walk out the store with newspaper on his hand.

Jonny " Hmm...? Hui, are you ok? You seems a little low..." Jonny look at me curiously seeing me ignore him.

Hui " Hm... having a great fight with my father just now... " I answer Jonny.

Jonny " You want to tell me what really happened between you and your father. I'm willing to lend you my ears. " Jonny look at me and offer his caring.

I really need someone to talk to at that moment. So i told the whole story to Jonny and the cause of the fight with my father. After i finished my story, Jonny look at me caring and silence for a while. Then he speak.

Jonny " Hui, i understand how you feel right now. By the way, have you ever thought how's your father felt right now? Have you ever listen and try to understand your father. I know you can't forget your mother and can't accept another women as your mom... But come to think of it, your mother been away for a long time already, your father need someone to be with him as a companion, to have someone to share his happiness, sadness, glory... I say this because i'm a men too, i can understand your father's need. But can you? Do you want your father be happy for the rest of his life with someone with him or, you want him to be alone and feel sorrow for the rest of his life?"

Jonny's words hit my head like a big bang. I never thought of that before and no one tell me about that either. I always thought that father being selfish and want to find someone to replace mother, but have i been wrong, am i the one who are being selfish and didn't care of what father's need ? It became so confuse for me and i stood and saying nothing.

Jonny " Ok, seems that you are confuse right now. I think you don't want to go back today, right? Come to my place then, i can spare a room for you tonight. " Jonny offer me to stay with him tonight, I thank him and took the offer, i know i need it, some placeto calm myself down and think deep away from home.

Pay Day

Today is the moment i've been waiting for... Pay day !!! This is the first time of my entire life getting my pay out of my own effort, i really feel nice...



I've plan for today schedule yesterday before going to bed. I sms Xiao Fen ask her out for lunch after i collect my pat cheque from Jonny. I planned for today since the first day i worked at the store, finally the time came.



This morning i went to Jonny's store after invite and had confirmation from Xiao Fen for the invitation. When i reach the store, as usual sat at the counter. I walk to Jonny.



Hui " Good morning Jonny ! " I surprise Jonny while he busy tapping on the calculator.



Jonny " Oh, Hui ! Morning bro. Come for your pay right? Give me a minute, i am calculating the your pay. "



Hui " It's ok, i'm not in the rush. Take your time. " I answer Jonny and start helping cleaning up the store although today i'm off duty.



After a while, Jonny call for me.



Jonny " Hui, stop the chores, today you are off remember. Come and claim your pay. " I stop my works and walked to Jonny.



Hui " Aiya, it's ok lah. I feel awkward just standing doing nothing here lol. "



Jonny " Haha, you hah... i'm not paying for what you have did just now, ok! hahaha. " Jonny laugh at me and hand me an envelope.



Jonny " Ok, here's your hard earn money for this 2 weeks. It's S$ xxx , check if it's correct."



Hui " Mm?? S$ xxx, i thought it's only S$xxx . Have you wrongly calculate my pay Jonny, you pay me extra S$100. " I check the pay and found out the pay is more than what i've expected.



Jonny " Aiyo, isn't it nice i pay you extra. You have been a great help especially Christmas Eve, so the extra is bonus, ok, BONUS ! " Jonny explain why he pay me more and made funny face at me when he spell the bonus word.



Hui " Haha, ok lol. Thanks Jonny. " I laugh and thanks Jonny for his generous.



It's almost time for the date with Xiao Fen, i hurry to the Mc'D after help out a while at the store. When i'm there, Xiao Fen haven't come yet, so i picked a corner spot and waiting for her. I saw Xiao Fen after 20 minutes, she walk in and walk to me when she saw me. I gave her a big smile and said.

Hui " What you want to eat? My treat today"

Fen " Wow, I know you are rich, don't have to 'Hao Lian' lah, still can afford for my lunch. " Xiao Fen gave me a supercilious look and tease me.

Hui " I'm not show off to you. Just want to celebrate together with you." I explain.

Fen " Celebrate? What the occasion today? Is it..... your birthday?" Xiao Fen look at me suspiciously.

Hui " No lah, i will tell you later. You tell me want you want first. "

So Xiao Fen made her order and stop her pursuing for answer... yet. Before we have our meal, she continue her interrogate.

Fen " Ok, speak up ! What are we celebrating? " She act like the police interrogate in the movie.

Hui " Ok, ok. Today we celebrate my first pay cheque. I'm so happy because i never felt so useful before." I answer her and show her the envelope. Then i explain to her why i'm not intouch with her for the past two weeks and my work at the store. But i curious of her reaction, she seems not surprise at all. Xiao Fen spoke when i finish my story.

Fen " Actually.... i knew that already. I saw you at the magazine store last Friday."

Hui " Hah !!! You saw me... why didn't you come to me then..." I surprise she knew i work at the store.

Fen " You look so busy at that moment, so i don't want to disturb... But, why you have to work? Are you short of money? " Xiao Fen look at me and ask me carefully.

I silenced and have a deep thought... Why i have to work... because i'm so free, working can kill my free time... But i knew that's not the main reason, my father is the reason why i'm working. I didn't want to face him or even talk to him at home, i ran away from seeing him, working will be the best excuse for me to avoid him, and i can made a living myself without his money, i want to prove i can live without him , that's the main reason i'm working !!! I shout deep inside myself.

Fen " Are.... you ok? " Xiao Fen look at me.

Hui " I don't want to live with my father's money. I want to be independent, make living with myself. " I answer her seriously.

Fen " Have a fight with your father again? "

Should i tell her my father going to marry Aunt Susan, should i tell her how miserable i'm for lately... I silenced...

Fen " It's ok if you feel inconvenient to tell me. " Xiao Fen spoke after a long silence between us.

Hui " Thanks... lets forget about the bad things. Let's celebrate my first pay cheque happily. " I'm relieve Xiao Fen didn't keep on pursuing the answer. We spend our afternoon eating and i told her my story working at the store.

When i'm home tonight, i saw a note on my desk.

" Hui, where you have been to lately. Haven't see you at home lately. Have breakfast with me tomorrow, i want to tell you something important. "

It's a note from father, what important things he want to tell me... I hope it's not another bad news...

Angel's Song

Today maybe the most busy day in my 16 years of life, the work at the store come to me like tidal wave, and non stop.

Today i went to the store at 7 am because Jonny have mad a large order of celebration stufs like chirstmas hat, fluorescence sticks, and bla... We have to prepare and put all the things on the shelf for sale before store open. So Jonny ask me to help him out earlier. As i display and label the pricing, i ask Jonny.

Hui " Jonny, how much is the cost for 1 chirstmas hat? "

Jonny " Oh, that one, it's S$ xx . " Jonny answer me while busy labeling.

Mm, cost is S$ xx, sales price is S$xx. That means the profit is.... Wow !!! Almost 200 % . I did shock with the profit Jonny can made selling all these stuff.

Hui " Wow Jonny, you sure made a lots of profit out of this. "

Jonny " Oh well, this is season sales, i can made the sales once only in a year. Well can made extra profit lol. " Jonny made a funny face at me.

Hm, hm. That's why everyone said you will never strike rich working for others, only business will. My father is a successful and rich businessman, but i don't know what business he is doing... what a shame to be a son who know so little of his father... Is it the main reason why i can't accept Aunt Susan as my step mom, because i know so little of my father... My deep thought flush away quickly by the tons of work at the store.

The magazine store is flood with customers who mainly come for the chirstmas celebration stuffs. There is not much time for me and Jonny to take a break, we only have burger for lunch and we have it at the store while busy serving the customers. Day past quickly when you are busy, it's 5.30 pm already when i have chance to take a break sit down. Oh, Xiao Fen performe at 6.00 p.m, if i go there now i'll still be on time. But... i ca't leave Jonny now... I look at my watch and keep on my work at the store. Suddenly Jonny call for me.

Jonny " Hui, go for your break. I give you 1 hour, but come back on time, ok? "

Jonny give me an hour break, what a surprise. But customers still flooding the store, i felt guilty leaving him now so i said.

Hui " Nevermind Jonny, i'm still not tire. "

Jonny " Oh you, just go on for your break... Ok... i know you have somethings on, you keep looking at your watch since 20 minutes ago. Go ! I still manage at this hour. "

Hui " Thank you Jonny, i'll be back on time, i promise. " Loos like Jonny know i'm on to something, without futher decline, i walk out the store and headed to Suntec as fast as i could.

When i reach at Xiao Fen's chorus team performance stage, Wow ! It's flooded with lots of people. I manage to get myself a good viewing spot among the crowds using my ' skinny kung fu', haha. After a while the chorus team walk on the stage, line up and ready for their performance, and i saw Xiao Fen. Oh... she is so different today, still so beautiful but different from her usual beauty. She wear white long sleeve shirt and black skirt which fit perfectly on her. When all the chorus team ready on their spot, a conductor walk on the stage and bow to the audience. I saw Xiao Fen stand out from the line, oh ! she is is lead singer, she never told me that. The crowds silence down and waiting for the performance...

" Silence night... Holy light......... " A sweet, clear and angel sound dash through everyone's ears, the whole floor silence and enjoy the song at that moment.

Xiao Fen's song touch my heart at that moment and i can feel my fine hair stand at that touching moment... After the song end, the crowds gave the chorus team huge applause, including me... i clap my hand as loud as i could for Xiao Fen. Now i see another attrative side of Xiao Fen, that strengthen my hearts towards her. But sadly i can't stay there much longer because i promise Jonny. After the first song i went back to the store in hurry although i prefer to stay for the performance, but a promise is a promise, i have to keep my promise.

After work at the store, i reached home at about 1 am already. How memorable watching Xiao Fen's performance today, she always surprise me. Maybe i should SMS to congratulate her for her successful performance... Aw... been a busy day today, tommorow maybe... Good night Xiao Fen... sweet dream...

Thief !!!

It has been three days since i work at the magazine store. I started work at 12 and off at 9 pm. This is a new experience for me cause i never work and earn money by myself before. Everyday i help Jonny(The magazine store owner) to look after his store, tidy up the magazine, books and newspaper, help at the counter as a cashier, bla.... Before working at here, i always thought it's easy to tend a store, but after working here, i found out that it's not an easy job to be done. You have to remember where you put books, magazine in case customer ask for assistant, look out for thieves because there are no alarm system, have to remember all the product price and bla... Although it's exhausting, but i am happier than the time when i just waste my time doing nothing.

Jonny have been nice to me, he teach me to manage the magazine store patiently and very forgivable when i did some mistake. After having some talk with him, i found out he is only 26 years old, it's quite amazing for him to open his own store at his age. Jonny told me he tire of working for others, therefor he decided to open his own magazine store, reading always is his favourite. So right now he can enjoy his liking and make a living out of it. But today something happen at the store which teach me a lesson when doing a business.

As usual, i reach at the store at 12. Jonny told me he had to attend some important appointment, so he ask me to tend the store all by myself. It has been going quite smooth until a group of teenagers, around 6 to 7 person came into the store. At first they gather at the magazine area looking for magazine, after a short while, two girls approached me with a bundle of books with them.

Girl A "Hi handsome, can you help me with this? I want to do some research on the magazine that on sale in Singapore, but i don't know what's the content of these magazine, can you give me a hand introduce all these magazine for me? Pleeeeeeeeease...... "

Well, i must admit that the girls approached me is quite pretty and i'm kind of attracted by them, so i try my best to explain all the magazine as i can to please the pretty young lady. When i'm explaining the magazine to the girls, i notice the rest of the youngster spread around in the store looking for something. But i'm so busy and keen helping the girls, i let my guard down on them. After a while, all the teenagers left the store one by one, another girl spoke.

Girl B " Oh, we almost late for our movie. Come on, lets go. " She spoke to the Girl A.

Girl A " Oh yes, i almost forgot. Thank you handsome, i'll be back for the magazine after the movie. Thanks for your help. " Girl A smile at me.

Hui " It's really nothing, come back here if you need any help ok. I will reserved these magazine for you, you can pick it up after your movie, ok. "

Girl A and B " Ok, Bye......... " They went off in hurry.

The girls never return after hours past and i didn't take it to heart. Jonny came back at 5 pm and buy me a fillet burger for leaving alone to tend the store. Day passed by and we do the stock counting as usual after 9 pm. When i count on the magazine, i found out some magazine quantity not match with the stock quantity, 5 magazine was missing. Same thing happen at Jonny's count on the books and stationery, at least a dozen of pen and few books missing too. Jonny ask me of what happen in store when he is not arounf and i recall the girls. Why sure that's what happened, that 2 girls distract me asking all the question, and their friend take this opportunity to steal from the store. Aw !!! how stupid i'm, i should have notice it earlier when they asking me all that stupid questions. With shame i told Jonny everything that happened.

Hui " I'm really sorry Jonny, I should be more careful. Jonny... i should be responsible, why not you deduct my pay to make it up for all the losses you suffered. " I felt guilty and want to atone it.

Jonny " Aiya, don't blame yourself to much. It happened all the time when your are running a store. I remember when i start the store, i did the mistake worst that you. Take this as a lesson lol, and don't take it to heart of the losses, it's in the expected losses in my account. HA !!! Cheer up, young man. "

Jonny didn't blame me for my mistake and even cheer me up and encourage me. He treat me so well like a big brother protecting his young brother. I felt so touch, so i promise myself i'm gonna give my whole effort to run Jonny's store effectively and carefully.

Xiao Fen SMS me tonight, she told me that she will performe with her chorus team in Suntec City at Chirstmas Eve, she invite me to watch their performance that night. Oh... Chirstmas Eve, Jonny told me that will be the most buzy day in the whole year. I am in debt with Jonny for what happened today, sure i can't deserted Jonny on this day. Though i want to watch Xiao Fen performance but.... Aw... maybe i just ignore Xiao Fen SMS...

The Magazine Store

It has been 2 weeks since school holiday started, what i did just throw my time away doing
nothing. But today i've met someone that will end my meaningless holiday.
Today as usual after breakfast, i spend my time playing online games and try to find someone
to chat with. Unfortunate nobody online, including Xiao Fen. Everyday repeating the same
routine, doing nothing... So i decided kill my time at Orchard Road... alone.

Sitting at Mc'D at Orchard and watching every one walk by.Office lady who walk in fast pace,
maybe busy for another meeting, some teenagers walking and laughing along the way, maybe
going to catch a movie, 2 policeman walk by, and assist some tourist to find their way, and
a street performer, dress in black suit, paint his face all white, stand like a statue, if
someone drop some money in his box, he will make some robotic move to cheer them up...Awww... seems like everyone have their jobs, and things to do, unlike me. I felt i just like a
useless rubbish waiting time pass by...

After finished my drinks, i decided to buy some magazine, so I walk to the magazine store
not far away. While looking for the magazine in the store, i found something which attracts
me " VACANCY - Looking for part-time workers, working hour flexible, S$XX an hour.". Oh, the store is looking for part-time worker. " Mm, since i'm just wasting my time doing noting,
why not do some part-time job." I talk to myself. I walk to the counter and talk to a tall,
spectacle, thin and serious looking man. " Er... excuse me." "Yes, what can i help you?" the
serious looking man answer me with a smile on him. Well, he is not as serious as i thought.
So i brace myself and ask him " Is there vacancy for part-timer here, i'm interested to take
up the job." The serious man look at me and smile " Oh, you want to take up the vacancy. Let
me introduce myself first, i'm Jonny, 'tauke' of this store." Jonny introduce himself. " Oh,
i'm Zhun Hui, nice to meet you." I introduce myself to jonny and jonny have a firm handshake
with me.

" So you are interested to work in my magazine store. I have 3 question for you before
decide to hire you. First,are you ok with the pay i offer? Second, can you work for long
hour? And finally, how old are you? " Jonny ask. " Yes, yes. I'm ok with the pay, and it's
school holiday right now, so i can spend all the time i have at here, and i'm 16." I answer
Jonny as calm as i can, but my heart is pounding so fast i almost felt it would jump out my
mouth. " Hmm... pay... ok, time... ok, age... ok. Allright!!! Welcome to Jonny's store, you
are hired. "I stared at Jonny for a few seconds, surprised by his sudden reaction. " Zhun
Hui... are you ok? " Jonny waive his hand in front of me. " oh, i'm ok, ok. Thank you Jonny.
Thank you. " I answer Jonny. " Ok, start work tomorrow. Come here at 12 afternoon. See you."
Jonny smile at me. " Ok, see you. Bye. " I walk out the store happily.

Ha, finally i found something to do instead of wasting my whole school holiday meaningless.
Feel like sharing with Xiao Fen the news... but on second thought, maybe i should surprise
her when i receive my first pay cheque. Hehe....
